So you have to decide on your strengths and concentrate on those, allowing other aspects to develop naturally over time. You also have to decide what type of work will make you happy and satisfied, as you'll spend a third of your life doing it when you become a model. Invariable you'll need to start somewhere near the bottom and work your way up, unless you can show a value that is highly prized, so you can jump up a few rungs of the ladder. The way to become a model is to answer these questions and apply to a model agency like this one. Check out the modelling work that's on offer and consider carefully what you want to do. We don't recommend applying to too many model agencies because this can cause a commercial conflict between agencies who find you work at the same time. Limit the number of agencies to a handful if you can and deregister with those agencies who have not found you suitable work within 3 months. If you think you would like the work on offer, ask your friends and parents what they think before taking the plunge and applying to do a modelling job. Once you've agreed to do a modelling assignement, make sure you follow it through and work well, keep prompt time keeping, look after yourself and enjoy the experience. If you cause problems, the agent will not use you again, no second chances here when you first become a model. Two of the most important qualities a model can have are reliability and a good work ethic. If you show up on time every time and you work well on every assignment, you will get more and more work, guaranteed and of course your earnings should rise over time when you Be a Model. |
